I ran into the folks from Mix1 today as they were cruising the frigid East Coast today. We came up with some great sampling ideas for next year’s VeloSwap including an early morning sampling to those standing in line. Nothing better than a MIX1 mix berry protein shake to start the day. And, lucky me, they left me with a few sample for my personal consumption…Love those guys.

VeloSwap marketing Retreat
The VeloSwap team is back east heading into a marketing retreat with our trusty web and social marketing guru. We were planning on a little riding while here, but we have a new 11” blanket of snow. I guess we will be spending more time working than we thought.
While here we will also be meeting with Mix 1 . They tweeted that they also are back east enjoying the snow so we are hooking up for some coffee. We plan on a few more vendor meetings while here.

This year’s VeloSwap is over, but we are busy planning next year and thinking up some great new ideas. Looking for some feedback:

VeloSwap Streaming Live NOW!!
VeloSwap will be breaking the technological barrier this year at the event by streaming live text updates right from the show floor. ‘Follow VeloSwap Live’ will be a great new interactive element to help attendees find interesting product and be updated on special sales and happenings around the event.
“’VeloSwap Live’ can be found on the VeloSwap web site at http://veloswap.com/home/live/ . This section will go live at 3pm on Friday and be live until the end of VeloSwap. Attendees with a web enabled phone wiil be able to follow the chatter and will be able to react instantly.
“This will make attending VeloSwap a truly interactive experience for both the vendors and attendees”, stated Reese Brown, VeloSwap Director. “Participating vendors and attendees will be able to connect instantly, making those dreamed about sales”.

Subaru Shuttle Program: 2009 Subaru Tribecas and the new 2010 Outback will be available to help shuttle VeloSwap attendees to their cars with their purchases. Available shuttles will be waiting directly in front of the main doors to the National Western Complex from 10:30am until 4:30pm.
